Cheer The Count
Cheer the Count was created by Margaret McCarthy as part of the Center for Artistic Activism’s Unstoppable Voter Project. After the 2020 election there was a lot of fear that votes wouldn’t be counted and Republicans would seek to steal the election. The Unstoppable Voters project provided support for projects engaging around voting and especially, after the election, counting the voites. Margaret’s project won a small grant to produce a campaign to “cheer the count” inviting people around the country to demonstrate in their neighborhoods in positive ways. I created a site and a set of social media images and brand guidelines for the project.
